As Program Director at the Indiana Charter Innovation Center, Charli brings a dynamic blend of creativity, strategy, and hands-on experience in education and communications. In this role, she leads professional development for schools across the state, develops resources that support charter leaders and educators, and takes on special projects aimed at expanding impact and innovation across the sector.
Charli began her career as a Spanish teacher, working with students from Pre-K to high school, before stepping into leadership roles that allowed her to support schools on a larger scale. She served as Director of Communications and Marketing for the Purdue Polytechnic High School network, where she played a key role in growing the network from one to three campuses in just three years. She went on to work nationally as a Marketing and Communications Consultant with SchoolMint, helping schools across the country improve staff and student recruitment, build community trust, and strengthen enrollment and retention strategies.
A recognized thought leader in education marketing, Charli has been a featured speaker at national conferences on topics including using AI in school communications, designing high-impact school tours, and recruiting top talent in a competitive landscape. She is passionate about helping schools shine a light on the work they do and ensuring that all families can find a school that fits their needs.
Charli holds a BA in Spanish from Ball State University with concentrations in education, linguistics and theatre. She completed graduate studies in Applied Linguistics at the University of Nottingham in the UK.
Outside of work, Charli lives on a small family farm in Indiana with her husband, daughter, three dogs and two cats. She spends her free time reading, practicing yoga, and trying her best to keep her plants alive.
